clicksor.com - About Clicksor

Clicksor is an online contextual advertising network based in North York, Ontario. The network is launched by its mother company Yesup Ecommerce Solutions Inc., which was founded in 1999.Clicksor was ranked within the top 100 on Alexa in October 2008 and May 2009.
Overview

By centralizing advertisers and publishers on one network, Clicksor selects advertisements most relevant to publishers’ content and places the ads accordingly. This is commonly known as contextual advertising. Clicksor first scans a publisher’s page to find keywords that describe the content. Next, they will match these with advertiser-provided keywords so only advertisements related to the page content will be displayed.Clicksor offers a total of 9 various targeting methods, and pays their advertisers on a CPC/PPC, CPV/PPV, CPM and/or CPI basis.By doing so, Clicksor successfully gauges over 1 billion impressions globally per month.Advertisements submitted to Clicksor’s network are first reviewed by a Verification Team for compliance with the Terms of Service. Advertisements will be rejected if they fail to meet these standards or contain illegal content.

The YesUp Chameleon

The YesUp Chameleon is found throughout its sister services, including Clicksor. There are many implications that the chameleon suggests:
- YesUp can identify market trends/demands because of the YesUp chameleon’s 360-degree arc of vision.
- YesUp acts based on market demands. Likewise, chameleons can extend their tongues faster than the human eye can follow in order to reach their prey quickly and accurately.
- YesUp offers various services to meet different industry demands; this is symbolized by the chameleon’s ability to change colors, allowing them to adapt to various environments.
- YesUp is developing and expanding steadily, similar to how chameleons travel.
History

Clicksor was founded in 2004, 5 years after the establishment of their sister company, YesUp Ecommerce Solution. They were originally located at 350 Highway 7 East and have relocated to several locations before settling at 565 Gordon Baker Road, North York. Since then, their slogan has evolved from “Get Visitors, Get Clicksor” to “Deliver Where It Matters”, suggesting their shift from a publisher-oriented network to a well-balanced advertiser/publisher network. They have carefully built their reputation as a “performance-based contextual advertising network” through online promotions and industry events such as the ad:tech annual digital marketing event in New York.

Funcionality
Advertisers
In the advertisers’ point of view, Clicksor allows them to match pre-selected keywords or product types within particular internet content. The advertising formats include inline text links, banners, graphical and rich media banners and pop-under ads. Payment for these ads may be on a CPC/PPC, CPV/PPV, CPM and CPI basis. Clicksor places ads appropriately using 9 targeting methods:
- Geo Targeting
- Channel Targeting
- Time Targeting
- Keyword Targeting
- Retargeting
- OS Targeting
- Device Targeting
- ISP Targeting
- Language Targeting
Publishers
In the publishers’ point of view, they can earn revenue from their web traffic. After signing up for an account, publishers can place a Clicksor ad code to display on their sites. Based on the advertisers’ selections of keywords, ads are distributed to these websites depending on their site content and relevancy. Publishers can place an assortment of text/image banners, rich media banners, full page pop-unders and interstitial ad codes that best suit the design of their website.

Reseller'

Clicksor also welcomes resellers to join their Clicksor Authorized Reseller program. Resellers get access to Clicksor’s network management platform and support to recruit new affiliates into the network, monitor advertising performance, and review bids. They can sell Clicksor's advertiser traffic at a wholesale price. Resellers can re-brand Clicksor’s network and set their own prices and can also resell the network to others as their own private brand.

Controversies
There has been discussion of end-users being exposed to trojans, viruses and other forms of malware through Clicksor’s advertisements. They may also be so placed on the page that it becomes difficult to remove the coding once installed. However, Clicksor has been consistently updating their ad management system to avoid malicious ads – they are currently using The Media Trust, an ad verification system that industry giants like Google, Yahoo and YouTube also use.
